A few days back I
was sitting at home, bored like a cat in a young widow's hand basket when
I decided to pop a movie into the VCR. the movie happened to be Six
String Samurai. I was swept away to a future where commies rule the
world and Russians play surf music. It didn't seem half bad!
What i love about the movie the best, though, was the music! The
group that did the music was a band called the Red Elvises. These
guys are a group of Russians (well three Russians and one Texan) who play
a wonderful mix of traditional rusian, rock a billy, and surfer to make
an out of this world new form a music i like to call Rock-A-Surfing-Russian-In-A-Red-Suit-And-Leapard-Skin-Shoes!
